Action1 Released the Research About Top 7 Cybersecurity Challenges in 2018

Houston, Texas, September 12, 2018
Action1 Corporation, a cloud patch management solution provider, released the research about top cybersecurity challenges in 2018. The research highlights major challenges faced by organizations, includes examples, and provides recommendations for solving these challenges.

The data for Top Cybersecurity Challenges in 2018 research was collected in July 2018. The respondents come from 521 organizations of different sizes, verticals, and regions.

The key highlights:

  • The most common challenges are lack of employee cybersecurity education (81%), ransomware (75%), patching (67%).
  • Ransomware protection is the top priority among the other challenges.
  • Protection of unmanaged devices is #4 in the list (62%), however, is only 5% of respondents indicated this as their #1 priority.

“Not a surprise that the human factor remains one of the most critical issues,” said Maurice Torres, VP of Product Strategy at Action1 Corporation. “Proper employee education and cyber hygiene shall get to the top of the list and effectively solved before new major incidents happen.”
